چکیده
UNLABELLED PREMISE OF THE STUDY Microsatellite markers were developed for Glochidion acuminatum (Phyllanthaceae) to investigate pollen dispersal distances and thereby to assess the effectiveness of specialized Epicephala moths as pollinators. • METHODS AND RESULTS Using next-generation sequencing, 11 polymorphic microsatellite primer pairs were developed for G. acuminatum. The primer pairs were tested on 49 individuals from two populations in Japan. The number of alleles per locus ranged from two to 13, and the expected heterozygosity ranged from 0.12 to 0.85. Probability of identity for all loci combined was lower than 1.27 × 10(7). • CONCLUSIONS The microsatellite markers developed in this study will be useful for evaluating the benefit of specialized Epicephala moth pollination to Glochidion plants.

Isolation and characterization of 13 new microsatellite markers in the triangle mussel (Hyriopsis cumingii)
Microsatellite enriched library of Hyriopsis cumingii was constructed according to the strong affinity between biotin and streptavidin. One hundred clones with foreign inserts were sequenced and 65 clones were screened for usable microsatellites, of which 36 were deemed unique, of sufficient length (more than 8 repeats) and possessed adequate flanking regions for primer designment. Among 36 pri...

متن کاملIsolation and Characterization of Microsatellite Markers from Endangered Species (Camelus bactrianus)
Iranian bactrian camel (Camelus bactrianus) is an endangered livestock breed with distribution in northwest of Iran. Microsatellites are a powerful marker for animal genetic and cell line identification and population genetic study. In this study, after producing more than 40 Camelus bactrianus fibroblast cell lines, microsatellites loci from the genome of Iranian Camelus bactrianus cell lines ...
متن کاملIsolation and characterization of microsatellite loci in the Persian sturgeon (Acipenser persicus, Borodine, 1897) and cross-species amplification in four commercial sturgeons from the Caspian Sea
In order to have a sustainable management on Persian sturgeon as a highly commercial species in the South Caspian Sea, we need to identify its population structure and the level as well as its conservation status in their natural habitat. To develop a conservation program for this all Caspian Sea' sturgeon species it requires knowledge of its genetic diversity using reliable molecular marker t...

Four new Epicephala species that feed on the seeds of Glochidionsphaerogynum (Phyllanthaceae) from Yinggeling Mountain Nature Reserves in Hainan Province of China are described: Epicephaladomina sp. n., Epicephalaimpolliniferens sp. n., Epicephalaangustisaccula sp. n. and Epicephalacamurella sp. n. The latter two species are also associated with Glochidionwrightii. Photographs of adults and gen...
